Energy System Modelling

An energy model is the perfect route to predicting building performance. The value of a design is entirely at risk unless key design decisions are assessed in advance. Spartan TSS are the experts in energy modelling across the full spectrum of building types and climate zones. We have produced thousands of dynamic simulation energy models focused on enhancing building performance through all the design stages to identify opportunities and minimise the risks. Energy modeling helps a project team understand the life-cycle impacts of mechanical, electrical, and architectural design decisions on the projected energy performance of the building.


Spartan TSS has extensive modelling and simulation capabilities in a number of areas designing proprietary energy modeling soware to predict the energy consumption and operating costs of facilities. We use this soware to  determine the most energy efficient design for a new or renovated facility, to demonstrate compliance with local energy code requirements, to determine energy savings of the building and to determine energy savings measures. Modeling essentially allows team members to compare different design options by considering building cost, operating costs, and replacement costs. Ultimately, energy modeling allows the building owner to create a building that performs better than similar structures, which results in a competitive advantage in the market. By evaluating the various elements of lighting plans, build assemblies, and mechanical systems, we can devise solutions to maximize your building’s energy performance. Energy modeling is also used to evaluate the payback of renewable energy solutions (i.e.solar panels, high-efficiency mechanical systems, battery backup systems, etc.).
